In my last post I stated that I learned 12 new things in the cake decorating world.  This is true, and I wanted to share a few of the things I learned!

I learned how to make shoes/ skates.
I can make people now too!
I learned how to better place diamonds on a cake.
I put into practice the paint brush for this wedding cake.  Something I had learned in Wilton classes but never used for a clients cake.

I learned how to make a tea pot.  (Adding the spout and handle.)
I learned how to make a new kind of flower, ballet shoes, and a little ballerina princess!
I learned a new trick for an old flower to make them look even better.  (Rounded the edges out some more!)
I added new things to cake pops while they were wet to give them more depth.
And the last one I'll tell you about today I learned how to put ruffles on a cake and made a mermaid sit on the side of a cake!
I can not wait for what 2013 has in store for my learning curve.  One thing I have in mind to learn about is how to make bubbles out of gelatin so I can put fish inside it and they will look like they are in plastic baggies!! :D
